Get Your iPhone Unlocked: Why Bother?
November 23rd, 2008    Subscribe To Our FeedWhen Apple’s iPhone was launched in 2007 with the fanfare usually reserved for visits from the Queen of England, there was a lot of appropriate flack about its flaws. One of the flaws that made even non-geeks upset was that Apple made an exclusive deal with AT&T to be iPhone’s only network. Customers want choice when it comes to their internet and phone carriers. But their expensive iPhones were locked into carrying only AT&T. The solution? Get your iPhone unlocked so it can carry any network you please.
Is This Legal?
Getting your iPhone unlocked is legal, even though Apple is not too happy about it. But that’s only because they would rather everyone bought electronic gadgets from Apple and nowhere else, yet that free-enterprise bugaboo keeps getting in the way. There are many legal companies online that offer free software to get your iPhone unlocked such as iPhoneSIMfree.com.
Set Yourself Free
Before you decide to get your iPhone unlocked, ask yourself if it is really worth the bother. Although the software is free, you still have to do a lot of tricky technical instructions. If you don’t even know how to get your toaster to work, you will find trying to get your iPhone unlocked far more trouble than it is worth.
Wasn’t the iPhone originally supposed to make our lives easier by combining all kinds of gadgets into one palm-sized device? If you are already extremely busy, having health problems related to stress or have trouble concentrating, then trying to get your iPhone unlocked just may push you over the edge.
Is it just a coincidence that there has been a rise in public shootings since the release of the iPhone? And when friends and family of the killer are interviewed, aren’t they always completely baffled as to how a mild mannered loner suddenly went postal with a pistol? I think we should check the belongings of these shooters very carefully. I bet you they all had iPhones and all of them were trying to get their iPhones unlocked before what was left of their tiny little minds snapped.
The danger to America isn’t with terrorists – it’s with these iPhones or any other gadget that claims to make our live easier only if you have a Master’s in Quantum physics. If you want to see a remarkable drop in innocent bystanders being shot, get everyone with a gun together and shoot their iPhones. We’ll all be free at last.

Are iPhone Software Downloads More Annoying Than iPhone Users?
November 20th, 2008    Subscribe To Our FeedGranted, there are very few things in life more annoying than a diehard iPhone user. Even things like tornadoes and typhoons are more tolerable, since they are forces of nature which are impossible to avoid. But what about the senseless pain of being stuck on an hour long bus ride and hearing an iPhone user screech in delight at an endless stream of inane chatter? Perhaps the iPhone software downloads are even more annoying.
No Batteries Included
Once upon a time in the old days, when you got a phone, all you had to do was choose the phone and the Phone Company did all of the rest. No more. Although today’s phones can do a lot more than just receive and make calls, with more complexity has come more responsibility. It is now the customer who has to get the phone working. And the phones do not come with everything included anymore.
One of the reasons an iPhone is so labor intensive is because it needs iPhone software downloads from Apple in order to do all the great things its advertised to do. When the iPhone was released, demands for the iPhone software downloads crashed Apple’s web site (the only source of the downloads) for days. You also have to log on to Apple’s website in order to unlock your iPhone to get it to do anything except be a conversation piece.
For Geeks Only
One of the problems people are having with the iPhone is the iPhone software downloads. They don’t always seem to speak the same language as the phone, making it behave slowly or erratically. Although this will normally happen if you use pirated or illegal iPhone software downloads, there have been problems with the official versions, too.
Another big problem of iPhone software downloads is that they are so complicated to work. The iPhone itself is very complicated for the average consumer. So far, the only fans of iPhone are technophiles known not nicely on the Internet as “fanboys”. They are used to taking an hour and pages of instructions in order to get anything done. The average person can’t even be bothered to read prescription medicine instructions much less instructions for iPhone software downloads.
This makes you wonder just who the iPhone was designed for. Quite possibly for annoying iPhone users, who tend to have a large disposable income. It certainly was not made for the average person. This writer has two college degrees, and I can’t even figure out the iPhone software download instructions.

Choosing iPhone Software
November 17th, 2008    Subscribe To Our FeedThe iPhone is one of the most useful and versatile devices in the world, as well as one of the most beautifully designed technology products of all time. Not only is the iPhone fantastic on its own, but there is also iPhone software available that helps users to make the most of their iPhone.
Which To Choose?
The hardest thing about iPhone software is deciding which you should get. Everyone is different after all and so you may require different iPhone software to make the most of your iPhone than the next person. The important thing is that you take the time to learn about the different software that is available to you and then choose the software that is going to help you out.
One-click iPhone unlock is one of the best types of software available for the iPhone. With this software you are able to use your iPhone with any network with a standard GSM sim card, and this enables your iPhone to be a phone, WiFi network, and iPod while you are on the road.
The iPhone development team has released a new version of this tool, and the best part of this update is that you are able to install it onto your iPhone using the cool installer applications. The process is quick and easy and then you do not have to worry about dealing with any bugs after installing the software.
Where To Buy
Once you have decided which particular iPhone software you are interested in purchasing, you will need to know where you can actually go to purchase it. Generally you will be able to find at least a remotely decent selection of software at your local iPhone retailer, but if not then there are various specialty stores available that will cater to your needs here.
Remember that you can even find iPhone software for free if you look in the right places, but just make sure that you stick to familiar names and do not start downloading random software because this is risky and you could end up with a virus on your iPhones as a result of your downloads. Before you install or download anything onto your iPhone make sure that you have it protected and that you are aware of the specific software you are installing.
The iPhone is a terrific device, and why not make the most of it with software. Just make sure that you choose the right software, and that you get it for the right price.

What You Need To Know About iPhone Ringtones
November 14th, 2008    Subscribe To Our FeedOnce upon a time, when a phone rang, all it did was ring. Now, with the advent of ringones for cell phones, they bark, moo, sing, boom, or start up your favorite song. Sometimes they even ring. One time I was riding the bus and heard a series of obscenities across the aisle. I turned to look and saw someone taking his phone out of his pocket and the obscenities immediately stopped. This is no different for iPhone ringtones.
Choose A Proper Ring, Please
The problem with using anything other than a buzz, beep or ring for your iPhone ringtone is that you might not realize that your phone is ringing. This kind of defeats the purpose of having a portable phone in the first place. Although the latest generation has been raised with the idea of any conceivable noise on the planet being used for iPhone ringtones, those of us born as late as 1989 just can’t wrap our tiny little minds around the concept.
If you were born before 1990, do yourself and the rest of the planet a favor by choosing iPhone ringtones that actually sound somewhat like a phone ringing – either that or a ringtone of a person saying, “Dude, pick up your phone” (which does exist). Quite frankly, an iPhone ringtone should be an alarm. Do you really plan on waiting for it to play out the entire rendition of “Baby Got Back” before you pick up?
What Cell Phones Do You Need?
Contrary to what Apple would like you to believe, you don’t need to have an iPhone to have iPhone ringtones on your phone. Techno-geeks like to call this “pimping” or “tricking up” your phone. However, keep in mind that an iPhone ringtone costs at least $2 (US) to download (which is still cheaper than the cost of an actual iPhone).
You also are not stuck with the official selection of iPhone ringtones on Apple’s website. If you are willing to do a little online research and follow a bunch of instructions, then you can adapt your iPhone into taking just about any ringtone made for any phone on the planet.
iTunes
The usual way of getting iPhone ringtones is to buy an iPhone and then go to Apple’s iTunes web site (where mP3 files for the infamous iPod devices are sold). This has the latest and greatest official selection of iPhone ringtones for you to choose from.

The Total Package: Apple IPhone Reviews
November 11th, 2008    Subscribe To Our FeedThis iPhone review will covers all aspects related to the phone. This phone is called a smart phone and for good reason. It’s like the epitome of 21st century technology. It’s literally like a miniature computer. People think the new Macbook Air is so cool because it’s thin like an envelope, well, the iPhone is the same thing but it can fit in your pocket.
IPhone Display Review
Let’s start with a review of the iPhone’s design. The phone has an extremely sharp and slick look. It has a trim profile and it doesn’t have a million buttons because of the touch-screen. It’s 4.5 inches tall by 2.4 inches wide and it’s a mere 0.46 inches deep. It can comfortably fit in your pocket and you won’t even feel it.
IPhone Review of Display & Menus
The display definitely takes full advantage of the phone’s large screen. The screen’s resolution is 480×320 pixels and the graphics look vivid and sharp and have great movement. The iPhone menu is a great one because it follows the true Apple style.
The interface looks high-tech but it is easy to understand. The main menu uses colored buttons to represent the main functions of the phone. Icons for the phone menu, mail folder, Safari Web Browser, and the iPod player sit at the bottom of the screen for instant access. The camera, calendar, and settings are at the top.
IPhone Fun Feature Review
The iPhone has a built in wireless internet connection. Now, laptops have wireless internet but you need to have a network somewhere around you for it to work. Not with this! You can literally be driving in the middle of no where and have an internet connection because it is built in the phone. That’s amazing technology. You can be waiting at the doctor’s office and surf the net to kill some time.
Perhaps the best part about the iPhone is the Google maps option. If you’re lost, you can type in the address that you’re going to or the name of the business and it will give you directions. It is not a GPS system that locates where you are but it does tell you where you need to go.
This iPhone review gives the iPhone an A+. The iPhone is slick and easy to use. It even has touch-screen technology. Plus, they’re constantly coming up with add-ons to make it just a little bit better. It’s expensive, but it’s worth it.
